Austin City Realty joins our client list January 25, 2010 No Comments
We’re excited to announce that the newest addition to our client list, Austin City Realty, signed off on the launch of their new website. After a lot of fun and hard work, we hit the green button last week to roll out their new site in an effort to market to students arriving back at the University of Texas just in time for the Spring semester.
Austin City Realty is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas located in the heart of west campus around The University of Texas at Austin. Austin City Realty specializes in helping students find housing in and around the Austin area. Be sure to check out their new website: http://www.austincityrealty.net and look for these guys coming soon to an area near you.
Holiday e-mail overload December 21, 2009 No Comments
Amazon, I really really like you, but this has got to stop. We have a wonderful relationship and I’d hate to see it sour over the embarrassingly high amount of correspondence you’ve been sending me the past few weeks. My wife may get wind of it and we’d have to stop this business between us immediately.
Look, I get it. You want me to know about the “Hottest Gift of the Season,” the “Lightning Deals on Toys,” the “20% off Select Electronics,” and the always appreciated “25% off Airsoft Guns.” I realize you want to send me targeted advertisements based on my search history. I’m also very aware that you’re tracking when I open these “letters” and whether or not I’m clicking through to your website. The fact is that I’m just not THAT into you. I have fun with you and all, but it’s just getting a little weird and feels a little too much like Nineteen Eighty-Fourish.
I guess what I’m saying is that I just need a little space. I’m not talking about a full fledged separation, just a few weeks without hearing from you…
This goes for you, too ProFlowers, Apple, Guitar Center, Pier 1, American Express, Funjet Vacations, and Best Buy.
What are some emails you don’t like, or do like getting? What other companies do you think over does it?

Making the Proposal Work August 12, 2009 No Comments
What are you using to make your proposal work?
We have recently been working to acquire new business and have started to rethink our proposal process. It’s something that many companies, plain and simple, just hate doing. It requires a ton of thought and a through understanding of the client and their needs. And for us, it really pushes us to stay within the client’s budget while providing them the best possible service and solution for their needs. We usually work with our clients and help them think outside (and even inside) the box about how we can exceed their expectations. But at times, this comes at a price – not only fiscally but timely – all in terms of preparing the proposal.
How have you perfected your proposal process? Is it set in stone or ever changing?

Since CoPilot Media launched in October 2006 we have basically had the same website since our inception. We love the first site that we came up with, but realized that it was time for a much needed change. Recently we have been so involved in our clients work that we have forgotten one of the most significant sites we maintain – our own.
We’re fast at work designing a new website that will allow us to better showcase our work, provide a better method of collecting information from our clients and creating better ways to contact us. We’re even working on ways to better follow the happenings of CoPilot through our new blog and twitter account.
We are excited about the new changes coming. Look for all of this to roll out June 1st. Until then, you can follow us on Twitter or continue to follow along on our blog.
